Breaking news - 21/06/2016

If Only is printed ahead of schedule and I received the books today. Those individuals who believe in my work and paid a small fortune in advance while the final version was still in typescript stage will be mailed the first hardcover edition within the next few days. It is printed only in a hundred copies – numbered and signed - and I hope in a couple of years it will be worth a lot more than they had paid for it and they can sell it if they need to. I believe If Only is my most accessible and best novel – although, going by past experience, my work also inspires some hostility. Before publishing In Praise of Older Women, I didn’t know what it was to be hated.

I received enough money from my backers to print the novel and my previous four books as a series and will publish them all by early fall. The first paperback edition If Only was published in 5000 copies with a retail price of 14.99, Those who order it directly from thehappyfew@btinternet.com will receive an invoice from PayPal, with 20% discount and free delivery to addresses within the UK.

The price will be £12. For European addresses outside the UK a postal charge of £5.60 has to be added. International mailing charges (i.e. outside Europe) will be £7.50. The retail price of the e-book version is £9.99.

Distribution and advertising will take another three weeks to properly organize – and it will also take more money. Kickstarter will go live in a week. On my website, the book can be ordered right away. So I hope that readers who were annoyed that If Only took me so long, will order their copies soon to give the book a good start.
